Following the tour, BORN OF OSIRIS will hit the studio to track their much anticipated forth album, which is scheduled for release in summer 2013.
Lee McKinney (guitars) states: “I would say the direction of this album is along the lines of The Discovery, but definitely a lot heavier and a lot more focused when it comes to song structure. We're trying to give each song a powerful, thematic feel. This next record takes all of the best aspects of The Discovery and develops the ideas even further. We already have so much material that we plan on revising and refining over the next few months. While we do that we will still continue to write more and in the end I think we'll pick the strongest 10-12 songs so we can drop the best BORN OF OSIRIS record to date.
“On March 22nd we start recording the record with Nick Sampson. We're very excited to work with him in the studio. He's a shredder and aside from that a great engineer/producer. Joey Sturgis (Asking Alexandria, Emmure) will be handling the mixing of the project. We felt he was the best for the job since we have a lot of electronic elements in our music and he seems to be the master of all that these days. Not to mention he obviously has insanely tight production and mixing skills. The disc is set for a summer release and we can't wait for everyone to see what we've created.
UK Technical metallers CHRONOGRAPHS sign to Ghost Music to release "Nausea" EP on 7 January
Monday 22nd October, 2012
GHOST MUSIC is proud to announce that UK technical metallers, CHRONOGRAPHS, have joined the label’s growing roster of young ferocious bands, to release their debut EP ‘Nausea’ on 7 January 2013.
To celebrate the announcement, the band have released a play-through of EP track "Resolve".
Fusing huge choruses with frenetic tech-metal, hardcore abrasion and a progressive sensibility, CHRONOGRAPHS display technical proficiency and a songwriting prowess that belies their average age of just 20.The band hit the scene in 2010 with the online release of free EP, “The Outhouse Sessions”, creating a huge online buzz and demand for the live show, quickly prompting a string of headline shows around the UK, and a nationwide tour as main support for Mediaskare’s Hero In Error.
Following their initial wave of underground success, the band set out to write a new record with the intent of further raising the bar in terms of songwriting and technicality, and the resulting "Nausea" EP, has exceed all expectations. Boasting five tracks of raw aggression, fresh, bandwagon-dodging riffery and glorious refrains, this EP is the soundtrack of a band with a burning desire to breathe fresh life into the metal scene and a great taster of things to come.
The EP tracks "Opticks" and "Ananis" both appeared on separate Metal Hammer magazine cover-mounts, receiving an incredible response from fans and readers, creating huge anticipation for "Nausea".

Monuments will release 'Memoirs' single on 20 October to raise funds for cancer sufferer's treatment
Friday 12th October, 2012
Monuments will be selling the previously unreleased track ‘Memoirs’ as a special single from 20 October, to raise money for the treatment of a close friend of the band, who has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer.
Pseudomyxoma Peritonei, or PMP, is a cancer of the appendix and is so rare, that it can only be treated by a small number of specialists, none of whom are in the UK. Treatment must be sought internationally and the costs are likely to exceed 10s of thousands of pounds.
Swanney, Bassist Explains: "Hi everyone, We will be releasing Memoirs via bandcamp as of 20th October. All proceeds will be going to our good friend Laura, who recently found out she has a condition called Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (or PMP), a rare form of cancer of the appendix that effects less than one in a million people. We will be releasing Memoirs to raise money for her as there are very few people in the world who are able to treat this condition and none are in the UK due to its rarity. She will have to travel abroad for the treatment and it will be extremely expensive. There will be a minimum donation of £2 for the track, however it'll be possible to give as much as you want, so please give generously. We would like to give a big shout out to Neema Askari, Joe Garret, John Sprich, James Monteith, Mel Schmidt, Steve Joh and everyone at Century Media for making this possible so quickly, Thank you.
The band would also like to raise awareness of this condition as it is often misdiagnosed due to its extreme rarity. For further information please read below.
The track will be available to buy from 20 October online at the band’s bandcamp, and physical copies available on from the merch desk on the Euroblast tour at all the shows:

Genre defying mentalists THE ALGORITHM announce debut album release on 19 November and UK shows
Friday 28th September, 2012
Progressive pioneering label Basick Records is very proud to announce the release of THE ALGORITHM’s debut album ‘Polymorphic Code’ on the 19 November 2012. Not only is this album wildly inventive and groundbreaking, it challenges the very existence of genre classifications and scenes all together.
The Brainchild of talented producer Remi Gallego, The Algorithm infuse modern Metal riffs and rhythms with a menagerie of electronic subgenres such as IDM, Chiptune and Breakcore, to concoct their own style of fiercely heavy music. Imagine a mash up electonrica driven breakdowns, djenty guitars, gut wrenching sub wobs and glitchy melodies all working together to fluidly pummel your head into the future.
After a successful premier of their live show at last year’s Euroblast festival, The Algorithm have gone on to destroy venue and festival stages across the globe, perfecting their trademark sound along the way. Armed with Mike Malyan (of Monuments) on the drums, the live experience is quite honestly like nothing the metal or electronica worlds have ever experienced.
Check them out live in November / December:

28 Nov, The Black Heart, Camden, London
29 Nov, King Alfreds, Southampton
30 Nov, Audio, Brighton
