HOMETRUTHS release drum playthrough video for 'Vigilante' ahead of live dates

Manchester musical activists HOMETRUTHS have revealed a drum play-through for 'Vigilante', taken from their debut EP Open Your Eyes.

Check out drummer Alex Mac's impressive chops on the track here:

The quintet have also announced the following shows:

27 May, The Boulevard, Wigan - with Martyr Defiled, Death Remains, Sworn Amongst
17 June Satan's Hollow, Manchester - with Oceans Ate Alaska, Napoleon, Carcer City

Born out of five friends’ collective anger and frustration at the state of the world, Mancunian musical activists HOMETRUTHS play passionate groove-laden hardcore, with a strong message of social change.

Musically they could be likened to contemporaries While She Sleeps, Sylar and Stray From The Path, but also nod to HC masters Madball and Biohazard, and with an added technical flair, their sound is as fresh as their passion is raw.

The debut EP ‘Open Your Eyes’ is a to-the-point statement of intent, as front man Gaz Davies  explains:
'The purpose of the record is to educate and enlighten people to what is going on in the world. Far too often people choose to turn a blind eye to these issues but with such a direct, in your face message people will find it hard to remain ignorant. People need to wake up’

The band actively promote peace and unity but are also unafraid to voice their anger at the broken systems that allow the corrupt elites to repress and divide society for their own gain. They are angry, and quite rightly, but they also hope to inspire others to take a stand together in the fight against the ills that plague our world today.

Gaz continues. ‘If you disagree with the current political climate, refugee crisis, religious hate crimes, or any injustice that has taken place is the last eighteen months then then you are amongst like minded people when listening to our record. It’s time to stand together not against each other, join us.'

NO SIN EVADES HIS GAZE stream new album Endless Disconnect

NO SIN EVADES HIS GAZE are streaming their stunning new album Endless Disconnect, ahead of its release tomorrow, 12th May.

Click here for embed code (available via embed code only)

Comments drummer Theo Harvey: "Endless Disconnect is the result of 18 months of discerning work together as a band to create a diverse record without filler, containing the best music we can give. We have developed our sound by condensing our initial writing into what we felt were the best aspects of it. You’ll find a mixture of catchy choruses, heavy riffs, interesting drum parts and hints of subtly placed orchestral/synth writing. We explored new harmony & counterpoint to boost creativity around guitar parts and vocally we pushed ourselves hard beyond our comfort zone.
All in combination to give what we felt was a clear difference in maturity between the first and second albums, to provide fans with something we hope was worth waiting for. We hope you enjoy listening."

Featuring a plethora of technical polyrhythmic wizardry and elements of groove, prog and metalcore, Endless Disconnect is about as ripe for the pickings as can be. Musically, the band have matured and progressed since debut album Age Of Sedation, with the ebbs and flows pieced together much more organically, and with an exceptionally down-tuned demonic undertone.

NO SIN EVADES HIS GAZE are relatively new on the scene but have backed an immense following from tech metal fans across the world, and are known for unleashing a belter of a live show. With appearances at UK Tech-Metal Festival, Bloodstock Festival, Mammothfest and Euroblast under their belt, NO SIN EVADES HIS GAZE are poised for further excellence on stages across the country if this album is anything to go by. They have previously shared the stage with other tech metal mainstays SikTh, Carcer City, Martyr Defiled and No Consequence.

Endless Disconnect is released tomorrow. Order the album here: http://hyperurl.co/EndlessDisconnect

PACESHIFTERS sign to Hassle Records and stream new track

Hassle Records are extremely excited to announce signing Dutch grunge trio PACESHIFTERS, whose new album Waiting to Derail will be released later this year.

The band are streaming brand new album track 'Stranger', which is also available as a free download via SoundCloud, and have announced a show at The Black Heart in Camden, London on the 27th June.

Check out 'Stranger' here: http://smarturl.it/PS_Stranger

Guitarist/vocalist Seb Dokman says of the single:

"Stranger is a song about my ex-girlfriend. I was struggling with that situation for quite a while. After I sang the first take Chris came up to me and we talked for a while, that really helped, because all the emotions that I felt while writing the song came back to me. Listening back to how I did the first take and the second was a huge difference. Needless to say that second take was way better. Recording an album or song is all about creating the right atmosphere to offer the best take you can.”

Inspired by the grunge movement decades ago that shook the foundations of alternative music, PACESHIFTERS bring an innovative twist on the genre whilst also boasting the complete unadulterated attitude that it was renowned for.

Possessing a no-nonsense mentality since their inception, PACESHIFTERS have evolved into a very devoutly passionate new grunge-rock band with a sound that is sure to enthrall any listener who enjoys the heavier side of Nirvana with doses of powerful Incubus-esque melodies and riffs along with the grit and energy of Chevelle. However, drawing comparisons doesn’t do PACESHIFTERS justice, where the band exhibit their gifted uniqueness in spades throughout new album Waiting To Derail, due for release this autumn via Hassle – their first on the label and first dedicated release outside of their native Netherlands.

PACESHIFTERS are notorious for bringing an audience to its feet in full appreciation. Having previously rocked festivals such as Woodstock (Poland), Groezrock, Zwarte Cross, Pinkpop, Exit, Rock for People and SXSW the trio have honed their sound to perfection in the live arena, an impressive accolade in itself for a band at such a young age.

More details on Waiting to Derail will be revealed very soon.

Aussie alt-prog-rockers FIGURES dedicate new video to memory of fan and announce Chronos EP

Chronos is out on 16 June

Fresh off releasing their debut self-titled EP, Melbourne quintet FIGURES are back with new EP Chronos on 16 June.

The band have also unveiled new video 'Recoil'; first premiered on themusic.com.au, check it out here:

The massive, riff-heavy track, 'Recoil', comes along with a video and is dedicated to the memory and tragic loss of their friend and fan, Mick Mills, to Lymphoma.

Simon Edgell, Guitarist for the band, wants the world to know this one is for him.
"'Slick' Mick Mills was a close personal friend of the band since meeting Simmo and Josh through work years ago.  He was diagnosed with Lymphoma in September of 2016. He died only 9 months later at the young age of 27. He was a great guitar player and like a little brother to Simmo, who wouldn't be the guitarist he is without those countless hours jamming together. His favourite Figures track was Recoil and he was always front row when we dropped it. He was a proper fan, we never want to forget him and what that song used to make him feel. RIP 'Slick' Mick, we'll miss him but we will never forget him and this video clip was never released in time for him to see it. Guaranteed if he had have seen it, in true Mick style he would have most certainly lost his shit."

The EP will be available for pre-order from this Friday 5 May, with 'Recoil' as the instant grat track for fans upon pre-order.

Having had their first EP see widespread coverage worldwide, FIGURES have made their mark on critics and music lovers alike, with industry stalwarts not shy on professing their love for what the group is doing. Now new EP Chronos is not only going to keep the band at the forefront of bands to watch out for in 2017, but it might just shift the boat completely starboard into wholly new waters.

Featuring the band’s usual earth-shattering explosive riffs, expertly crafted with intricate and powerful melodies, FIGURES exhibit complete dominance at their hard rock sonances. Having adapted and evolved in a few short months, they execute a surplus of pulsating grooves, thunderous drum and bass lines and a diverse technical prowess. Chronos will undoubtedly cement the quintet as mainstays in the Australian heavy music circle.

Frontman Mark Tronson thoroughly shines in Chronos, where his crisp and pervasive vocal ability, ranging from soaring vocals along with some piercing screams, is one of the many outstanding features of exceptional quality.

With shows alongside Caligula’s Horse, Twelve Foot Ninja and Superheist already in the books, the band, notorious for a live show like no other, are intent on steering towards stages across the globe and carving their name into the minds of new faces, so that nobody ever forgets the name FIGURES.

All At Sea release new video for 'Wake, Work, Repeat'

Video comes ahead of new Systemised EP, out 12.05.17 For fans of: Malevolence, Nasty, Rage Against the Machine

North East England's groove metal-hardcore mob ALL AT SEA have released their new video for 'Wake, Work, Repeat'.

First premiered on Impericon-Mag.com, you can watch the video here:

The track comes ahead of the band's new EP Systemised, out May 12.

Boasting the gritty aggression of bands like Malevolence and Nasty, with odd plunges into alternative Rage Against The Machine-esque territory, ALL AT SEA really are an anomaly in this terrain. With slow, crushing rhythmic prowess and an excess of unadulterated down-tuned riffs, coupled with plenty of breakdowns, this EP is something to behold as a debut release.

Not much is known about ALL AT SEA, but it is painfully clear that they are fuelled by anger and frustration. Frontman and vocalist Jack Tyreman has a definitive presence, whether utilising his skill at pitched screams, growls or shouts, and is complimented by the aforementioned vitriol from the musicians behind him. His fluency is most prominent in song 'Wake', where the lyrical themes are abundantly clear, and is accentuated wholeheartedly by a crushing breakdown. He eloquently yells; “This f**king system’s a joke. I’m f**king sick of being broke. I want more from my life. I wasn’t born to work and die.”

Track listing:
1. Wake Work Repeat
2. Consume
3. Gimmie The Mic
4. Life Value
5. Business of Faith

Having played a number of key shows across the North in 2016 including a support slot with Skindred in Middlesborough, ALL AT SEA are primed to make a huge impression on the touring circuit this year. Expect more dates and news from ALL AT SEA in the coming months – this EP is only going to be the tip of the iceberg. For more information:
